Pompeii & Herculaneum Select tour

You cannot miss the chance to join a full day excursion to discover the archaeological sites of Pompeii & Herculaneum. Pompeii reses on a plateau of Vesuvian lava, overlooking the Sarno river valley. The city was destroyed by the eruption of the Volcano Vesuvius in 79 AD, but the rests of the Roman civilization were rediscovered in the 16th century and the exploration begun in 1748 under the kingdom of Charles III of Burbon. Thanks to the ash and lava, that petrified the city preserving all the “valley”, it’s still possible to admire the buildings that founded the city.

Pick-up from your accommodation or nearest meeting point by your driver and guide.

Drive along the Sorrento Coast and enjoy views of the bay of Naples on the way to Pompeii.

Enjoy a 2 hours guided visit in the excavations with an expert and authorized local guide: discover the life of the Ancient Romans see the main public monuments, the Forum and some of the houses of the Pompeii ruins.

Lunch stop in a nearby local restaurant to taste a delicious Neapolitan meal.

Depart to reach Herculaneum and enjoy a 2 hours guided visit in the excavations with an expert and authorized local guide: explore intact buildings, see well-preserved frescoes, and imagine the daily rituals of those using shops, public gymnasiums and thermal baths that can still be visited today.

Relax on the way back to Sorrento.
